80 年前のあの日、大切な家族や友人、思い出やふるさとを全て失った人々は心身ともに深く傷つき、悲しみと共に生活を立て直さなければならなかった。原爆が投下され、70 年は草木が生えないだろうとささやかれたが翌年、一本のひまわりが芽を出し、人々を勇気付けた。
そして、今年の夏も元気にひまわりが咲いた。現在の長崎は、当時の人々を勇気付けたあの小さな芽からスタートしたのである。80 年の時を超えて羽澄花は、自分に託された祖母との約束を果たすべく動き始める̶
Eighty years after the atomic bombing, survivors who lost families and homes rebuilt their lives in sorrow. Though
it was said no plants would grow for seventy years, a sunflower sprouted the next year, giving hope.
Todayʼ s Nagasaki began from that small sprout, and sunflowers bloom again this summer. Now, Hazuka steps forward to fulfill the promise entrusted to her grandmother.
