Competition Rules and Regulations

応募方法

1. 応募フォームに必要事項を入力してください。

2. データ応募（YouTube、Vimeoのみ）

  • (a)YouTube、Vimeoに作品をアップロードし、そのURLを応募フォームに記入してください。今回の応募のため新たに作品をアップロードされる場合は、YouTubeは「限定公開」、Vimeoは「パスワード・ダウンロード可」設定を推奨します。
  • (b)応募フォームに、アップロードした作品のURLやパスワードを記載してください。
  • (c)アップロードする際は、動画データおよび解説内に作品名と監督名を明記してください。
  • (d)日本語以外の言語が使用されている作品については、日本語または英語字幕を付けてください。

3. 受付完了

応募フォームの送信後、本映画祭よりエントリー完了メールが届きますのでご確認ください。締切1週間前より応募が殺到するため、完了メールが届かない場合がございます。順次メールをお送りしますのでご了承ください。提出後、一定期間が経過してもメールが届かない場合はお問い合わせください。

Application method

1. Please complete the application form.

2. Uploading Data (Please upload the work in YouTube or Vimeo)

  • (a)Upload your work to YouTube or Vimeo. On YouTube and Vimeo, if you want to upload new piece for this application, it is preferable to have a “download able password” or “private” setting.
  • (b)Please specify the URL and password of the uploaded film on the application form.
  • (c)When uploading a film, please include the title and director’s name in the work and summary.
  • (d)Please attach Japanese or English subtitles for films that use language other than Japanese.

3. Submission Completion

Entrants will be notified completion of submission by e-mail.Please contact us if you don’t receive the notification after a period of time. When the deadline approaches, you may not eceive the mail, but please wait as we will send it in order.

応募作品規程

  1. 1. 2023年1月1日以降に完成した作品であること。
  2. 2. 作品完成時に監督が学生であること。
  3. 3. 監督の年齢は2024年4月1日時点で29歳以下であること。
    国籍は問わない。
  4. 4. 過去に本映画祭に応募していない作品であること。
  5. 5. 日本語以外の言語が使用されている作品については、日本語または英語字幕をつけること。
  6. 6. すべての作品について、日本語または英語のダイアログリスト（テキスト台本）をExcel（スプレッドシート）形式で提出すること（Excel形式が困難な場合はテキスト形式でも可）。
  7. 7. 出品料は無料とする。
  8. 8. 出品数、作品の長さは制限しない。
  9. 9. データ応募のみとする。

※以上の規定を満たしていても、京都国際学生映画祭が正当な理由をもって上映に適さないと判断した場合、または、審査を行うのが困難だと判断した場合、選考から除外する場合があります。

※注意事項

  • ・作品はダウンロードする場合があります。
  • ・2025年2月28日（金）までは同サイト上で動画を視聴できる状態を維持してください。
  • ・YouTubeで応募の際、すでに公開されている動画の場合は、2023年1月1日以降に完成した作品であれば、そのままご応募いただけます。その際、「一般公開」を「限定公開」に変更いただく必要はありません。
  • ・YouTube、Vimeoなど、サイトの利用規約への同意を得たうえでご応募ください。

Application Rules

  1. 1. The film for entry must have been completed after January 1st, 2023.
  2. 2. When the film was completed, the director must have been a student.
  3. 3. The director of the submitted film must be under the age of 30 as of April 1, 2024. There are no restrictions on nationality.
  4. 4. Films previously submitted to this festival are not permitted.
  5. 5. The film must include subtitles in English or Japanese.
  6. 6. It is required that all works include a dialogue list in either Japanese or English Excel (spreadsheet) format. (If Excel format is not available, text format is also acceptable.)
  7. 7. There is no entry fee.
  8. 8. Entrants may submit multiple works. There are no restrictions on the length of the film.
  9. 9. We are accept only data application.

* Even if a film meets the rules above, The Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival may eliminate a film from selections, if the film is not suitable for screening.

* Notice

  • ・ Keep the films available to watch until February 28, 2025.
  • ・ You do not need to make it private if you have already uploaded the completed work on YouTube after January 1, 2023.
  • ・ Please agree to the terms of use of YouTube and Vimeo when applying.

審査

1. 予備審査

実行委員による選考を経て、全応募作品から本映画祭で上映する入選作品を選出します。入選作家の方にはメールにて審査結果を通知します。（入選作品は公式Webサイトにて発表）※入選作家の方には本映画祭に来場の上、トークショーに登壇していただく予定です。入選しなかった作品についても、本映画祭の企画等において上映することがあります。

2. 最終審査

映画監督をはじめ、映像業界に携わる専門家から構成される最終審査員(決定次第、公式Webサイトで発表します)と実行委員による選考を経て、予備審査を通過した入選作品から各賞の受賞作品を選定します。

Judging Process

1. The Preliminary Selections:

The Executive Committee nominates the films screened at our festival. The entrants of the nominated films will receive notifications by e-mail. * We will announce the nominated films on the official website after December. * The filmmakers of the nominated films will attend the festival and give presentation.

2. The Final Judging Round:

The Final Judges consisting of film industrial professionals and The Executive Committee select films which receive each award among nominated films.

* As soon as The Final Judges are decided, we will make an announcement on the official website.

上映用素材と字幕について

上映が決定した作品の応募者は、上映素材と以下の各種提出物を速やかに提出する必要があります。期日までに提出がなかった場合は、上映を取り消すことがあります。

  1. （1） 作品のスチール、監督写真
  2. （2） ダイアログリスト
  3. （3） あらすじ
  4. （4） その他、広報用データ（自己紹介等）
  5. （5） 予告編動画
  6. （6） 日本語または英語以外を使用する映画は、原語の完全台本と、その英語訳

Screening Materials and Subtitles

Once your film has been selected for screening, please promptly submit the screening materials and the following required documents. In case the materials are not delivered by the due date, the screening of the film may be subject to cancellation.

  1. (1) Film stills and director’s photo
  2. (2) Dialogue list
  3. (3) Synopsis
  4. (4) Other publicity data (self-introduction, etc.)
  5. (5) Film trailer
  6. (6) If the film uses a language Other than Japanese or English, a complete script in the original language and its English translation.

賞構成

  • ・グランプリ 副賞10万円
  • ・準グランプリ 副賞5万円
  • ・最終審査員賞他 記念品
  • ※各賞とも入選作品の中から選出します。

Awards

  • ・ Grand Prix (A supplementary prize, JPY 100,000)
  • ・ Second Prize(A supplementary prize, JPY 50,000)
  • ・ Each Final Judge Award (Memorabilia)

著作権に関する注意事項

  1. 1. 応募作品の著作権は応募者に帰属します。但し京都国際学生映画祭は、本映画祭の運営上の目的にのみ、無償かつ自由に、応募作品の複製・第三者への貸与・上映・翻訳を行う権利を有するものとします。また、本映画祭の宣伝広報活動（SNS、マスコミへのプレスリリースを含む）に限り、予告編、スチール、監督写真を利用する権利を有するものとします。
  2. 2. 京都国際学生映画祭は1.の権利を有しますが、上記以外の応募作品の取り扱いにおいては、事前に応募者の許諾を得てから行うものとします。
  3. 3. 上記1、2の条件は、応募作品に係る著作権（放映権、出版権、翻訳権、翻案権等）と二次著作権（翻案権）が第三者に移転した場合にも承継されることとします。したがって、応募者は作品を第三者に有償・無償の別を問わず譲渡もしくは貸与する場合には、応募者の責任において第三者との間でこの旨の契約事項を盛り込んだ契約を締結してください。
  4. 4. 応募作品の権利が複数にわたる場合は、代表者にその権利が帰属するか、もしくは代表者が権利処理を行うことが可能なものとしてください。
  5. 5. 作品の原作として既製の著作物を使用している場合は、必ず権利者の許可を得た上で、その該当著作物を応募用紙にご記入ください。
  6. 6. 既製の映像・音源（テレビ・ラジオ、音楽等）、キャラクター、シナリオ等の著作権については、監督の責任のもと、使用許諾・使用料など、所定の手続きを済ませてください。京都国際学生映画祭で使用料等の費用の負担は行いません。
  7. 7. 著作権フリーの素材を使用する場合は、各素材の使用規約に従ってください。
  8. 8. 上記の規定を満たしていない作品については、断りなく選考から除外する場合があります。
  9. 9. 応募作品の著作権に関する問題が発生した場合、応募者が全責任を負うものとし、本映画祭は一切の責任を負いかねます。

Copyright Notice

  1. 1. The entrant retains the copyright of director’s films submitted. However, director agrees to grant The Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival non-exclusive rights to utilize all or part of the film for the sole purpose of managing the festival without any additional compensation. These rights include, but are not limited to, Right of Reproduction, Right of Rental, Right of Screen Presentation, and Rights of Adaptation.
    In addition, the Festival reserves the right to use trailers, stills, and director’s photographs solely for promotional and publicity activities of that film festival (including social networking sites and press releases to the media).
  2. 2. The Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival has the rights specified in ‘1.’, but the applicant’s permission is required for any use of the submitted work beyond the specific manner outlined above.
  3. 3. In case you give these rights of the films to others, you have to make sure these rights above mentioned still belong to The Executive Committee.
  4. 4. In case more than one person has these rights to the film, choose a representative.
  5. 5. The entrant agrees that director has obtained proper, leg permission to use copyright works of third parties in the film. And then, please list copyrighted materials in the application form.
  6. 6. In case the film contains any copyrighted music, sounds, or images, make sure that they are licensed.
  7. 7. In case the entrant uses copyright-free materials, you have to obey their terms of use.
  8. 8. If a film doesn’t meet any of the rules above, The Executive Committee might eliminate the film from selections.
  9. 9. The entrant is solely responsible for any problems regarding Copryrights.

上映について

・ 天災・感染症・その他の事由により会場での上映が困難な場合は、映画祭をオンラインで行う可能性があります。
・ オンラインで上映・配信を行う場合は、監督の許可を得た作品のみを対象とします。

About Screening

・ The Festival may held online when it is difficult to screen films at the venue due to natural disasters, infectious diseases, or other reasons.
・ Only works with the director’s permission will be distributed online.
